My name is Mike Hince (but many will know me by @portmates)

I’m a British artist that paints portraits of famous and interesting faces, especially those in TV, Film and popular culture. View all my links!

I started painting in May 2020 when we were under COVID lockdown and got hooked, I paint 3-4 times a week and post them to my social media and often on this page for sale.

I typically paint people that interest me, such as actors I’ve seen in TV shows or Movies I love, or musicians I adore.

My paintings are contemporary, modern and striking. I use Inks and Acrylics mostly on Canvas or Canvas Board.

Commissions: My commissions are usually closed but I do open them up for special requests that interest me. Commissions typically start at £200 and increase based on size. Please email me if you have a commission request.

Note: I can only paint up to A2 due to studio space.

Shipping: All prints come with free UK shipping and £3.80 worldwide shipping costs. Paintings carry a standard £8 fee for shipping and insurance, larger paintings still carry the £8 fee but for website complications I build the excess costs into the price of the artwork. Example: An A2 painting will cost around £60 to ship worldwide.
